Well, I decided to bring my car back out of the secure compound at work and bring it home today.

 

I dug it out in the morning and sat it next to the vans awaiting home time.

 

I was told by two separate people that it needs clear side repeaters rather than the original orange jobs,

 

 

 

The important thing is, what do you think??

Leave it as it is, or smoked

The problem is Peugeot fitted three different colours of indicator on one car. If you fit clear repeaters they will match the fronts but the rears are smoked so they wont match them. Best left as is IMO.

 

This is why you want a phase 1 or 1.5 not a botched later attempt at a facelift

I had smoked repeaters on one of my old Black pugs, looked kinda stealthy, so much so, you can hardly see them....

 

 

heres the same repeaters closer up on my laser...

 

 

Personally, on a clean car like yours, think I'd keep them standard nowadays!

No harm in swapping to clear repeaters, but personally I think the amber ones look good. I prefer the retro look of amber indicators on certain colours. Definitely on the dark colours they look really good. Smoked repeaters are a bit naff IMO

Orange or smoked, cear side repeaters can look out of place on a dark car imo, I have smoked on mine with a set of clear to fit to my white 205 but I think clear stand out like a sore thumb on darker cars.

 

 

Whatever you like best though at the end of the day, its your car.

I agree with Graham though, either orange or smoked.

My old Sorrento had smoked ones fitted, they suit darker colours well IMHO.

 

But whatever makes YOU happy

Aside from the fact that you sneakily edited your post after my comment, I class repeaters as the lights on the side, whereas as indicators are the ones on the front and the back

Flipping heck, talk about generalising. Twenty years of owning 205 gti's from the very day i past my test 20 odd years ago, own'd at least one every single day since, never ever body kitted any of them, and i'm basically branded a chav because i changed two repeaters!!!

 

Always thought i was one of the few genuine enthusiasts, seems I'm just a chav with a gti badge!
