You may find that if you use the 16v tensioner. the 8v one is half the size or you can machine the outer edge down

I "adjusted" the brackets on the metal water pipe, i've got about 2-3cm clearence.

I ahve bought an xsara vts phase1 rack which i will be fitting with my gti6 engine and am considering keeping power steering.....opinions welcome...

 

Is there any easy way around this if doing so without buying expensive rallye bits...
