the 180 manifold is the same in the 206 - 307, the downpipe/cat has a specific part number for the EW10J4S in the 307 though, stud pattern is the same, same gasket.

ok funky...

So i'd need to locate / purchase a 307cc 180 downpipe (only 307 i'm aware had the 180 motor in it) to fit the 180 manifold to the non-180 307 2ltr.

right go onto service box and had a look at this in a bit more detail and have more questions:

1) 307 180 (facelift vs non-facelift) exhaust downpipe / cat pipe.

Pre-face Lift = 1705 QZ PSA K283 / 1706 99 TR PSA K282

Face Lift = 1706 99 PSA K282

2) 206 GTI 180

1705 QE PSA K232/K264 / 1706 95 PSA K282

When you compare the images of the pipes does it seam the only difference is a second sensor before the cat?:

Inlet is different, exhaust looks similar one or two studs look a fair way out, don't know if the head would fit, ask Sandy, he may have an ew+xu gasket to hand to compare.

Sandy

Head fits the block, bolt holes, even the oil feed, but the oil drains are entirely different. I've got pretty close to putting an EW head on an XU a few times, but each time decided it's not worth the hassle, just use the XU or EW complete.
