Itb Gti6 Coil Setup

taken the car apart and have forgetten how the coil setup goes back togther ...lol

 

drawn up and VERY bad drawing

 

is the below correct? the coil is a std pug 1.8 petrol one?

2+3 and are paired, as are 1+4.

 

As long as the pairings are correct, even if you get them around the wrong way on the coilpack, the worst that'll happen is that it won't start and will probably pop and bang to signify its unhappiness. If it does that, then just swap them over and it'll work.

 

Which half of the coilpack does 1+4 and which does 2+3 will depend on how you wired it in when you built the loom, so it's hard to say that it'll definitely be as you've drawn above or the other way around.

Ok cheers will have another look tomorrow, pretty sure that I got i have it right

 

I jut get a fire back fires and pops out the itb's so something isn't right lol

If you're getting backfires and pops how the HT leads are currently, swap the pairs around and it should be fine :(
