G Force Graph Of My 205 Race Car

the theory books say the braking effort should be 85% of your max lateral for the tire.

Slightly off topic, but what's the reasoning behind that? I've always assumed the grip generated to be the same in both axis but evidently that's another assumption too far!

It's also important to remember that braking is assisted by aero drag so if you're generating 0.75g overall decelleration perhaps only 0.65g of that is coming from the brakes and tyres... perhaps even less but obviously that depends on the speed and therefore the aero drag generated.

Cheers.

start braking with your left foot. Should get you headbutting the windscreen :)

yeh thats the type of thing. It's not too T shaped and looks like your trail braking quite effectively.

Nice car :) loving the wide front for the looks as well as the other benifits!

Cloverleaf

That is a great bit of kit to have, should really help you quantify improvements.

I agree with Cam, you should be able to achieve 1g or more max breaking with slicks in the dry. Obviously if you have good enough brakes and a well set-up car.
