They have number markings.

 

085 - J2 - RT is my spare old inlet.

190 - K2 - FT ? exhaust or inlet

175 - H2 - VB ? exhaust or inlet

 

 

but can't get the pully off to look.

 

accorting to PeterT.. they are both identical? at the bottom.

the answer is, inlet has a keyway on the distributor end... to drive the distributor.

On the 8v yes but the Mi16 has a plain threaded end (just like the exhaust) for the rotor arm plate fitting.
