[body_work] Fixing Her Up

The time has come and finally starting fixing some stuff on my 205, in the following days I will upload some pics,

 

Jobs to be done,

 

Clean whole engine bay - ( spend 4 hrs just to clean part of the bulkhead today )

Fix up and clean all loose connections

Brake system - Sorted

Coolant system - started taking it apart and replacing pipes with a BBM silicon set, and got rad back from a clean

Suspension - all new with front H&R springs

cleaning of surface rust under slam panel and under headlamps

Removing fuel pump and clean fuel tank and filters

Fixing back in the heater matrix ( done and tested now just connect it back up )

Replacing starter motor with another I have which does not fool about, for now !

 

This is all I can think of at the moment will sure add more to the list

I will look forward to seeing the pics. Very satisfying and doesnt cost money to do those sort of jobs.

Another off day spent at the garage to continue the pending list,

 

Finished cleaning off the bulkhead removing all the wiring and washer bottle and more cleaning began.

I found using an aluminium oxide disc on an angle grinder got rust off well. It must be good to see the red bulkhead again.

yeah never saw it that red as it was like that when i bought it and got worse :)

Had some free time and headed for the garage to continue cleaning the bay, Pics follow

 

Removed battery tray and took the tray and slam panel to the blasters, blasted etch primed, and primed ready for paint.

 

Continued to clean the engine bay and Trustaned the rusted area.

Just some computer cleaning aerosol found a box of it lying around in the garage and decided to use it :)

He he to tell the truth my friend was clearing out his work van and all the extra unlisted supplies ended up in my garage and tought I will try this ' surface cleaner ' as it is called

Today cleaned and etch primed engine bay right hand side

removed and stripped bumper and valance ready for repair - s**t job fixed side arch to bumper with a whole silicon bottle !

Update time, today masked up all the cleaned sanded and de rusted area etch primed and primed ready for paint,

 

Hopefully will have some time to continue tomorrow

Looks good, just started doing the front end of my latest project but think its going to need a bit more than a wire brush to get to the same standard as yours...
