joe1joe 3 Posted October 23, 2010 On my girlfriends 106 xsi the headlights keep blowing the under-bonnet fuse. This only happens if the main beam is put on along with the headlights...it then blows the 30amp fuse. I started to look at the problem last weekend and noticed the wiring harness main plug in the nearside inner wing for the headlights etc had quite badly corroded terminals. So being abit lazy i persumed this was the fault creating a bit of resistance in the circuit in turn blowing the fuse, so i cleaned the terminals and used electrical grease and left it as that (along with a few extra crapy french wiring faults!). And tonight, driving along the fuse blew again... bit dangerous!! So just wondering if there is a common fault that anyone may know to give me abit of a head start?! Cheers in advance. blniasgti 0 Posted October 23, 2010 never had any issues like this on my misses's 106 xsi.... it might be worth checking the earths on the foglights if they come on, as ours come on when on full beam? otherwise just check all earths and connections
