Looks very nice. What part of Edinburgh are you in? I've seen a couple of very nice Miamis about. One drives past my bus stop every morning at 8.15 up in GRanton, and I used to see the other a couple of months back leaving South Gyle at 1730 every day. In fact, now I think about it, I've seen quite a few GTI/CTIs around Edinburgh since I moved back here.

It was probably closer to 7.5 hours but I was quite pleased with my progress on the day, the car endured the cold, the rain, gusting wind and even some bright sunshine as I crossed the border - so it did a fantastic job and cost me roughly £90 in fuel (super unleaded)

 

I'm in Comiston just up the road from Morningside - I remember you were planning to moving up here, where did you end up yourself? This is my 3rd Gti (as you can see from my signature) had phase 2 steel grey, phase 1.5 cherry and now my white one. Have you got your Gti in Edinburgh?

 

I go to Jewel & Esk college nightclass where you get access to every tool under the sun and ramps, etc ,etc a very handy thing when you own a Gti.!!!!

I'm right up in Granton in one of the new developments (when I first moved up here years ago I said I would never live around here, as it was a right dismal s*ite hole, but it's changed a lot. Still a lot of pockets of schemies though!). Yeah, I do have the GTI up here (white G reg too) but it's under cover in our underground car park. I'm supposed to be doing a thorough tidy-up this year but the way my finances are going it's looking unlikely I start it every once in a while and move it about, and the difference is insane having had a couple of "luxury" (comparitively speaking ) cars in the last 6 months.
