Dash2 With Dl1 Setup

Recommended Posts

parry

Hi guys,

Just installed a Dash2 with a DL1 and am wondering if anybody has the formula for the standard pug sensors. I also see there is 2 sensor on the thermo housing, how can I tell which one is the switch and which is the temp sensor.

Also while I am here, I have found the fuel level sender wire, but does this measure voltage or resistance?

Any help would be apreciated.

Regards,

Parry

Hello Parry

how can I tell which one is the switch and which is the temp sensor.

The temperature switch is open when cold, with a multimeter you shouldn't find any continuity

The coolant sensor is a resistance that changes according to temp. With an ohm-meter you will be able to mesure it's resistance

Hope this helps

IIRC the smaller of the two sensors is the temp sender & the larger the switch.

Thanks, yep that works a treat. Also the larger oil sensor is the pressure sensor on the front of the block.

All looking good and easy to configure using the DL1 software.
