Any ideas where I can find a 23mm rear antiroll bar from ?

I've tried www.rallycar.com and they list the ARB, however I called and its now a discontinued part :P

Any thoughts ?

You will have to search the net for places that have raced or rallied the 205. Then ring or email them and see if they have any spare parts inc the rear roll bar.

Stat with all the well known tuning places that specialise in Peugeots....like Shenpar and AB motorsport...Skip Brown.

I'd imagine only ex-rally people would have these now. Why a 23mm & not a 24mm blackscooby? Also, ask Miles,he has an even larger diameter one on his 309 & probably knows where to get them.

If they are still available from Peugeot Motor Sport - have a word with Mike Geen, he gets discount cos he works for them

See you Saturday

I'm afraid not Dave I was speaking to Mike on saturday on Marks behalf and he said PS no longer make them :P , the only place is Skip Brown Cars as far as he knows, or possibly pick up a second hand unit from the Rally lads.

Regards Russ....

Go for the largest diameter one you can. Can't say anymore but I run a 30 or 32mm bar at the back with 26mm Torsion bars.

Not yet, but I'm sure Dell will start her sales pitch before she hands over the ABR :P

Currently fiscally challenged so little chance !

Forgot to post !

Right then. Picked up my new 23mm (not 24) from SBC on Friday night. Legged it back to North Yorks to fit and prep the car for the Hillclimb the next day !

What can I say... Transformed the handling to say the least. Corners totally flat, so on exits of bends isn't picking up the front wheel spinning it uselessly.

Because it was level through the bends it was possible to put the power down much earlier too. I've got a couple of problems with my PC at home but as soon as I can I'll post some in-car video and you'll see what I mean.

What we did find when we took the old ARB bar out was that the bloody thing was 17mm... not even 19mm. I won't comment on this further until I have taken some action myself. Needless to say it was a new beam not that long ago so I'm not best pleased.

Cheers

I was at Harewood on Saturday and am pretty sure I saw you during the practice runs. I was sat near the road you go down to the start with my lad. Saw a Pug with a camera strapped into it.

Looked impressive out of Farmhouse. Much flatter than some cars.

I read about your mishap, I wondered if something went wrong.

Good to watch though.

Guess what I'm saving up for :(

I retired (broke the car) on my first timed run. It was a shared entry with my brother who was running as # 744 and I was 44.

Glad it looked impressive through farmhouse. It was certainly sounding well coming up past the timing board. Certainly doesn't sound 205 like at all !

We weren't all that fast through the speed trap though at 68/69mph I'd like to have seen it around 72/73 really.

Aparently when I broke the clutch plate the commentator said that wouldn't be happy with that run as it was well off the pace :P Well dahhhhhh yeah cos I'd been out of gear since exiting Farmhouse ! MUPPET :(

Oh yeah Nick, if it was a pale yellow Pug than it was us !
