8v Crank Bearings

Iam i middle of rebuilding an 8v for my daily car.

 

I have had the crank ground and need bearings, easy i thought. Took the cranks to different place than i usually use and they said they want to see old bearings due to being few variations.

 

However in a stupid moment they where thrown out, so i told them to get me 5 grooved and 5 plain for the mains.

 

Then they wanted to see the block as again few different ones and they werent sure what ones where needed without seeing the block.

 

I rang them yesterday and still havent got them as said it wasnt that simple due to number of different ones available.

 

Is this right as iam thinking just getting them back next week, paying for crank grind and going to my normal engine shop and speaking to them as something doesnt sound right here.

You'll find all of them now are groved on top and plain on the bottom now
