1.6 Cti Hubs - Same Like 1.6 Gti Or Not

Recommended Posts

foreigner

I am about take retest on my cti and thought it would be good to change pads and disks since mot tester didn't pick the metal to metal pads.

I got 306 calipers I could use on it, done the same on my Inca which had base hubs.

Are those hubs on cti 1.6 - gti or base model??

Can't remember at all.

Anyone?

as long as it hasn't got abs they'll be 1.6 gti type afaik.

if your calipers are intended for 247mm vented discs they'll go on fine with the cars standard vented discs.

I was actually going for 266 from 306xsi which I found in my breakers.

So to confirm:

306 247mm calipers are ok to use with standard 1.6 gti vented discs.

What discs to use for 266 mm or it will be the same as above?

Thanx for reply

I have to start making notes about this as I am getting completely confused.

you'll need to swap the hubs for base model ones.

A CTI might have the base model hubs already, they still have the base model / XS style front subframe & wishbones.

CTI has 1.6 GTI hubs. I had to swap mine to put 266mm 307 brakes on.
