Not sure if many of u knew of my build but i was due to be completed for fcs.

Flooring under the car caught fire from simple grinding sparks (done this hundreds of times and never had a problem)

Resulting in this!!

insurance ran out a month ago, wanted to renew but they wanted engineers report for the rear engine (couldnt get this til car was complete!!!!

Gutted just doesnt even put it in words!!!

I have seen this happen before in a workshop which lost 6 cars as a result, once the underseal catche's, game over.....gutted for you mate as the car looks awsome.

Happened to a mate of mine about 15 years ago. He was welding up a MK2 Escort before paint in the bodyshop who were undertaking the respray after working hours, up it went taking several cars & the unit with it. A mutual friend passing at the time saw several fire engines at the scene & thought Hippy Mick (as we all knew him) was having a bad evening, it was only when he got to work the following day did we all find out what had happened.

What can i say mate?? Gutted just isnt apropriate, I really feel for you your mates. Have you got like an insurance cover for the workshop? atleast then you can recoup the money for tools etc, and possibly bump it up abit? Devastated mate.. Hope summat comes good out of this mess..

but.........

 

why the chuff would you be doing any hot works in a garage full of cars and other flamable stuff with out fire extinguisher's??????

 

seriously man id be going buckers if my motor was in there!!!

 

and im sorry to go on,but there is no wonder health and saftey is going baserk these days because its people like this that make hse have to put stupid rules on

 

use some common sense!!!!
