A2TheA 0 Posted May 19, 2010 im really looking forward to getting the car back in the next month or so. its had an mi conversion with jenveys on it the last time i drove it was about a year ago as a 1.6 gti. im hoping to see a good gain in power. the engine has pretty much been fully rebuilt now. new valves with 3 angle seats, new lifters, crank reground with new bearings, new piston rings and honed liners, slight skim on the head, new gaskets all round. the sump is having a bit of 'anti-surge' work done on it. and should be ready in a few days. its taken about a year to accomplish this due to funds and problems etc i have pretty high hopes for this engine and hopefully it will last a while, providing i look after it anyone else got a set up similar? what are your views on the engine?
