Guest markrs s2

After some help wiring some hella rallye 3000 lamps to my 205 road rally car. They need to be wired to come on with main beam and need them on 2 switches and 2 relays just so if one goes still got use of other, need them fused in side car on switch panel, one of last jobs to do then car is finished but have no idea on wiring at all.

Help would be appreciated

Mark.

If you are using the car for road rallies, i would relay the headlights too so you can run better bulbs without frying the wiring.

Mine were fused under the bonnet on the drivers side inner wing and took the power from the alternator. The switching wires came from the back of the headlight. I joined the wires in from the loom, so that the original bulb connector plugs could still be used if i did have a fault with the new lot (it never happened).

Only used one relay for dip, one for main, and one for spots and only the spots had an incar switch.

I never done a backup system like you want, only carried a spare relay and spare fuses.

You can buy a relay kit from some motorfactors, but if you are using 100w or more bulbs in the spots, i would use thicker wiring. They come with full wiring instructions and have a built in fuse too.

I have got a copy somewhere, i will see if i can dig it out and put a pic up here, but no doubt someone else will be able to send you a link or something.

Cheers

Paul
