Sunroof Handle Nuts

Recommended Posts

shed_racing

Evening all,

In taking out the glass sliding sunroof to freshen up the dull metal rails, I had to unscrew the interior sunroof handle (the one that fixes throught the glass; two screws up in the handle, through the glass to flat-domed captive nuts on the outside of the glass sunroof).

It was then that I realised that the pikey see-you-next-tuesday that I bought the car from had cattled one of the nuts that sit on the outside and cunningly replaced it with a blind grommet. :(

One main stealer call later, and I'm getting a bit concerned, as I can't seem to get one anywhere, as they are NLA.

The main stealer suggested using one approximately seven times the size (ok, so a bit of exaggerstion for effect) as employed to hold on the rear quarter light glass; similar principle, but far too big.

Has anyone got any ideas or even has one they might want to lose ? :(

Thanks gents.

Part numbers:

Bolt/screw: 691282

Funny looking nut: 842419

Rubber washer: 694875

Washer for bolt on the inside: 69465 I didn't have any of these anyway.

Call the guys at Peugeotparts.com

I spoke to them only yesterday and they said £12.50 for 2 of each of the above inc postage and VAT.

You are a gentleman AND a scholar; please let me know how much you want for your trouble :(

Thanks for the details Obey_r - appreciated.

Local pug dealers, eh ? "Sorry ? it's not for one of butt-ugly current range of same-as-every-other-euro-cars ? Hmmm . . . . can't help you then" :(

(Only joking fellas - they've been quite good - right up until now :D )
