Raspy Exhaust? Which One?

Recommended Posts

TU_Later

Where can the different group N boxes be gotten hold of?

Everyone's claiming popping and banging ;), Stainless, Mild steel, But nowhere to achieve this!

Google seems to be useless to find anything that isn't listed in max power magazine

I've also emailed Devil Exhausts, They made a REAL decent 2.5" exit SS backbox.. Which didnt look chavvy and sounded raspy rather than like a wet fart Corsa C with a bodykit. As soon as i hear back Ill post too

Steve

My 309 mi on 45's with a homemade 'from octopus manifold' 3inch(no split mid section just 3inch stainless)to magnex exhaust system pops and bangs and gives nice flames, especially when the return spring broke on one of the webbers at Aintree circuit--4ft long flame was mentioned as the car sat on the limiter from a change from 2nd to 3rd before I killed the ignition!!

My old gp2 Mk2 escort rally car on 48's and a good cam and a Tony Law exhaust gave the best n/a flames I have ever seen and the night 'testing' we used to do around the 'lanes' will stay with me forever

I also remember fitting a brand new janspeed system to my old MK2 1300 sport ^_^ back in the day and that sounded schweet as a nut too!

Exhaust note is a personal thing and crisp and poppy and bangy is my taste, but getting it sorted is sometimes hard to do- I also think its far better to get your fuelling right, which most modern day systems can do nowadays but you cant beat the old carbs for a bit of a pop and bang back in time B)
