1.9 Mi16 Missfire

Recommended Posts

Cloverleaf

I've made a new loom for my 1.9 Mi16 2-row from scratch. Every wire, plug and connector is new.

I've based the loom on the standard wiring from my current loom.

I trial fitted it today and (after realising I had two pins the wrong way around on the ignition amp-woops!!) it started and ran. :)

However, it missfires quite badly. Funny thing is, I'd ran a temporary permanent power to the fuel pump which I was just holding on the battery. When I took this off the car seemed to run better (suggesting that it's overfuelling?).

The car ran fine with the standard loom this morning so I'm pretty sure it's a loom thing.

I'm going to re-check every wire again, but would be very grateful of some suggestions to help!

Cheers,

Joe
