Mine is an F 89, however that just accounts for the shell, most of the interior, fuel tank and an odd bit of trim, otherwise it really could be anything.

Thats correct, but it lasted until 1987 when they started galvanising parts of them, they were fully galvanised by 1989.

I have a white 89 '.I have still the shell of my 92' one which was my first GTi but it will be going soon as it was badly damaged and everything is more or less stripped off it now .

1989 Silver 1.6 gti and 1992 Sorrento Green that has been part striped for parts.

 

Only voted for the 1989 as i cant see how to vote for 2 cars.
