the start of the unfinished project i bought lol dont do this as just causes my head ache daily lol but end result will be worth it i hope :)

the start as i bought it registered as a 1.4i but they dumped a 1.9 in there and it was oringinaly a 1.9gti

18022010002.jpg

the inside

18022010005.jpg

the engine only just hanging in as they hadn't bolted it to the mount or even have the right mount for the car

the 1.9gti engine and box removed

01032010050.jpg

01032010053.jpg

a few bits of rust to deal with as somewhere along the line someones spilt brake fluid

01032010054.jpg

01032010055.jpg

the modified subframe its a gti subframe but they moved the bracket that holds the gear linkage in place to accomadate the 1.4 gearbox

01032010056.jpg

so i have had this cut off again and moved to its orinal place for the gti6 box

well not done an update for a while so heres a few pics of the painted rear beam and mi16 leathers fitted, did have to have some small brackets made up to fit the seats to the 205 subframes as the 405 subframes are about an inch wider and they do fowl the handles to lift the seats but dont plan on haveing many people in the back.

the rear beam has been fitted with solid beam mounts and uprated poly bushes along with a full rebuild kits (beaings etc) ad new bolts/nuts, also uprated shocks not yet fitted
