scottish_lion 0 Posted March 22, 2010 Nice photos, looks amazing, will try to do that in future. Definitely 205 GTI roads! I'd prefer to be in the V6 going uphill but not necessarily back down the way again...

Daz - I thought the V6 might have struggled a bit on those inclines yes Andy it did , i had to come out of 4th at one point up them The only issue i had was the ground clearance at times, so i had to look ahead and back off at times , but it was a Gti's environment not a v6 Gentry's , so she did well Make sure you come next year mate, its awesome. Kobayashi 35 2 Cars Posted March 24, 2010 that's some great roads and scenery. where in GB is that, roughly? looks a bit like where clarkson drove a GTI in one of his shows and claimed that no supercar could keep up with it on roads like that.
blue_haddock 2 Posted March 24, 2010 Its the lake district which is in Cumbria up near the scottish borders. Very scenic with some great driving roads.

Bigtimmy 1 Posted March 24, 2010 Hardnott and Wrynose passes, an awesome stretch of road, whihc if you keep going takes to to Eskdale where there is a teensy tiny railway which takes you to the seaside at Ravenglass. The views are awesome and you can see the Isle of man quite well on a clear day, infact the Hairy Bikers did a cookery slot from the top of Wrynose pass...I think they made rosti or something! I'd love to be there but it is my first weekend of boat launching, so no weekends off now until November...boo hoo! Have fun!
