Well this weekend me and a group of like minded puggers hit the Lake district for a mix of driving and drinking! I thought i'd post up some of the pics here as not everyone would look at the thread in events.

Some breath taking scenerey and amazing driving roads.

Super stuff. Sorry I couldn't make it either. Job extension means I missed out.

Next time I'll be there.

Nice photos, looks amazing, will try to do that in future. Definitely 205 GTI roads!

I'd prefer to be in the V6 going uphill but not necessarily back down the way again...

yes Andy it did , i had to come out of 4th at one point up them :D

The only issue i had was the ground clearance at times, so i had to look ahead and back off at times , but it was a Gti's environment not a v6 Gentry's , so she did well :D

Make sure you come next year mate, its awesome.

that's some great roads and scenery. where in GB is that, roughly?

looks a bit like where clarkson drove a GTI in one of his shows and claimed that no supercar could keep up with it on roads like that.

Hardnott and Wrynose passes, an awesome stretch of road, whihc if you keep going takes to to Eskdale where there is a teensy tiny railway which takes you to the seaside at Ravenglass.

The views are awesome and you can see the Isle of man quite well on a clear day, infact the Hairy Bikers did a cookery slot from the top of Wrynose pass...I think they made rosti or something!

I'd love to be there but it is my first weekend of boat launching, so no weekends off now until November...boo hoo!

Have fun!
