205 Mi16 Guttmann Rally Car

Recommended Posts

mkzvk_cz

HI to all. I would like to show you my 205 project. It has started for about 3 years ago. A had a 205 gti with mi16 engine. That was nice and very fast car, but I wnat more ...wide wide car. That´s why I was searching for wide bodykit. There exist two possibilities. Dimma or Gutmann. Dimma is wider, looks a really bit better than guttmann, but the price of dimma bodykit is realy crazy. OK what about guttmann ? Only possibilities was tu found some second hand one. For about four month of searching and I found really nice bodyshell with bodykit. Bodyshell was 205 1.4 but it was rebulit for XU engine  I gone for about 800 kilometers and get this "car".

Looks fabulous! What wheels are you running in the snow pic? They look like the 13" PTS ones, only a bit bigger.

The wheels are original PSA Speedline 14" ... I used them because I had new Good Year Ultra-Grip 7 in my garage. So If I use a 283mm brake disc, I have to use 60mm wheel spacers.

Lovely - what events have you done in it (or plan to do in it)? Would be good to see it in action. Must admit, I think bigger wheels really set off the wide-arch look, like the "Maxi" discussions we've had recently in other threads. Do you really rally it? Looks too nice to do that!

Yes of course.. 14" wheels are a bit small  But I used 15" wheels for tarmac tyres ...16" or 17" wheels looks grat but there is no enough space in the rear arches.. competiton tyres has a bigger diameter. Fro exmaply my pirelli rs7 has 580mm diameter.. and there is no possibility to change for a low profile tyres...

Car is primary built for rally races..

And here are some photos from last year...

Looks stunning, really nice work.

Loving the wide arch look

Nice to see you use it for what it's designed for too.

I noticed there's a cable shift system fitted, what does the finished product look like inside and in the engine bay? is it a custom one or adapted from a Peugeot or a Citroen?

Nice build with some very nice touches!

The cage and fabricating in particular is a work of art, the stand/jacking points incorporated into the cage mounts through the sills is very nicely done!

Thank you very much  Mr. Nemec of NC Power is really professionall, he made for about sixty roll cages per year. His cages rides at the rallies on european levels. He also did perfect exhausts and sump guards, cam shafts, connection rods etc.
