Fog Lights

Hi

I was wondering if anyone knows a good place to buy new or good front fog lights?

Thanks

Paul

Main dealer is probably the best bet, around £50.00 a piece if i remember correctly.

Most copies only last a few months before the road salt and rain gets to them. I have some denji ones fitted at the minute, i coated the frame in shaultz (sp?) stone chip and sealed the light with silicon before fitting and they seem to have lasted ok.

P.S There driving lights not fog lights :D:D

Chris

I found GSF cheapest for genuine, they're part code is T94912, £28.50 + vat each and free delivery. I rang their mail order place and got 10% discount for being cheeky and a member on here as my local branch didn't want to know.

Ps they come in a Bosch box but are oe Siem.

Don't buy Denji ones as they soon mist up and rust. The surrounds will also rust within weeks too. False economy. If you do get them, hammerite the surrounds before you fit them.

And the quality of the beam pattern is very poor compared with the OE Lamps

My 1989 CTi had had 6 (SIX) new sets of these...all OE from main dealers, by the time I bought it in 2003. Needless to say it's only the reflector silvering holding things together now. How can they sell such cr*p. Refuse on principal to buy replacements!

Got mine off autofive, they are the standard ones. From what i could tell all the pattern stuff rots away quickly so you may aswell just push the boat out and get the magnetti ones. :)

My CTI came with them - they are smaller than the OE fitted ones though ;)

Just ordered the GSF ones. Have had several of the inferior sets before, in fact ordered one form the front of this web site only for them to disintegrate within months. Hope these are the genuine item, will post pics up once received so someone can confirm.

make sure they are the right ones, they are marked SIEM on the lenses, if they're not the correct ones return them and ask for the correct ones :)

Is it wrong that I cant bring myself to fit them to the car as I worry they might get ruined?

Yea man, GSF delivery today and spot on. Bosch boxes but SIEM lenses. Think I might be a total geek and get some Black PLastic spray for the metal surrounds before fitting them. £28.50 each plus VAT.
