Be1 Clutch Cable, Arm Problem

hi there im in the process of putting a be1 gearbox in to my 205 i put in the correct cable and lift up reverse ect but as i only ever had be3 gear boxs its slightly different the way the arm releases the center thrust bearing. It just isnt thats the problem an to help i took a pic to try and help its as if the triangle peice and arm that goes into bearing needs something between them it take up the slack whre i have put a bolt, if so can i see any pics as to know what im looking for and how the correct way is thanks guys!!

Theres normally a short bar in there. If I had my spares here id measure one for you buy I got a rough idea its about 40mm long.

A spring goes to each arm normally but theres enough pressure to keep it in there by itself for a while.

 

Unfortunatly need my spare incase one drops out!

hi does anyone have a pug part number to the part i need as they generally not to helpful near me with out chassis number . thanks

just cut one from a peice of bar? 40mm long. thats what i did

 

pressure will keep it in there, unless your clutch cable snaps then it will fall out

your missing a piece off the end of your clutch cable :P

 

perhaps that's why you kept losing the pegs ;)

Cheers Bud,

 

It is still being put together after a rebuild so all the bits are not in place yet,

 

The pic is just to show that the bar is attached to part of the loom so that if the clutch cable snaps the wee bar will not fall on to the road

and then I can get the spare cable out of the boot for some Road Side Repairs :wacko:
