Galifrey 1 Posted December 31, 2009 Spent some time trying to unscrew this today, clearly this is not the right method, so what is the trick? Want to replace it with a BE3 knob.
welshpug 1,627 Posted December 31, 2009 twist side to side and pull upwards, watch your nose, and sunroof if you have one!

Miles 331 1 Cars Posted December 31, 2009 Get it warm and pull hard
Galifrey 1 Posted December 31, 2009 Ok so need to get it warm first, at the moment it won't turn more than 1/8th of a turn, and even then it is incredibly tight. Is it threaded on? Is cutting off an option? I shall give it a go again!
flipperthebushkangaroo 2 Posted December 31, 2009 is it the indented marking type & is it in good condition? If it is and if you get it off in one piece how much would you want for it? Regards Roddie
oz. 2 Posted December 31, 2009 You could cut it off, if you don.t care for it. It's not threaded but it has ridges on the stick. goes down easy enough but you have to watch your nose when removing

Galifrey 1 Posted January 1, 2010 It is on both counts, means I have to take it off carefully Managed to get it off easily by turning it clockwise, it kinda unscrewed, however, a piece of the knob fell off (powerful right hand grip, can't think why ) But the insert was off so that is in good nick if you need it flipper. DrSarty 90 1 Cars Posted January 1, 2010 Please PLEASE tell me you smashed yourself in the nose removing it? That eclipses a steering wheel face smack by a long way.

GLPoomobile 958 Posted January 1, 2010 I've a really useful tip for this. You just need some toilet roll. Take one sheet and tear it in half. Then roll each half in to a tight little ball. They should each fit nicely up the nostrils and really help to stem the blood flow once you have the knob off
