205 Uk Rallye Gear Box

Hi all i own a 1994 205 rallye.

Yesterday was driving along(well flying along) was able to get the good old tu engine to rev right of clock

Was amazing for that few seconds then bang. on removal of box found 3rd gear to have shattered and smashed the inner box casing resulting in oil every were(no wonder i looked like a red arrow carrying out a display).

 

what gear box would have the best ratios for the engine?

I used to have a 4speed box on my205 with ax gt engine reved like mad but didnt go any faster than 110mph.

Its an every day car and gets driven how it is supposed to.

 

any comments would be helpfull.

Hey Richard, a 106 rallye box is prob the closest MA Box. A 205 xs is a good compramise, the standard 205 uk rallye box was a pretty long box and swapping for a xs box you will see a difference.
