What Colour Alloys

Recommended Posts

driversdomainuk

Hi

A local body shop are going to recon and recolour my 1.9 speedline alloys on my competition 205GTI which is white...

Any ideas what colour would look good..? I was thiking Subaru Gold...will cost me nothing, as I am doing some web work in return, but being a track car which has sponsors I would like to make it stand out, but it is road going, so not too OTT...!!

I don't think the gold would work on the white personally what if you want something wild what about bright green or orange

I've seen the orange on white before on here can find the pics though

edit: found it http://forum.205gtidrivers.com/index.php?s...+wheels++orange

not sure - I think gold will look ok as white is a neutral colour...

What about red?

If you still have the red bump-strips on the colour could work?

I dont have any of the strips - long gone before smoothing and respray. I think gold gives a slight anodised effect and is not such a solid colour...

hi!

my ideas:

- black with red circle around

- red

- neon-green

- white with red circle

- black with "speedline" sticker in red

nice would be black with polished lip, etc... there are sooooooo many options! :(

Ah right, red wouldn't work too well so :(

Graphite maybe?

Be original, try to find some tartan paint :(

I think gold goes quite well with white cars.

For me, i like light colour alloys on dark or near dark colour 205's and dark colour alloys for light coloured 205's, ie silver, white, yellow,

topaz blue, laser green.

The wheels have to stick out for me and im not keen on having the same colour alloys as the car, especially black alloys with the black tires

it just looks dull imo.

I think gold would be cool, and a bit different from the usual colours people have on white cars.
