Mi Crank Sensor

Recommended Posts

Andy F

Hi Guys

I am just sorting out the various sensors to go with my emerald management.

When i built my engine it didnt come with a crank sensor. I wondered if anyone had a picture of what the bracket looks like bolted on as i will either try and find one or if basic make one up.

Thanks for the help

Andy

they don't use a bracket, its just bolted directly to the top of the bellhousing :(

they are a common part, you don't have to have one specifically from an Mi16, even the later diesels use them.

As said don't bother with brakets ect, it's not worth the hassle.

... Unless you don't have hole to fit the sensor, like on my early Be1 :(

if its the original box from the car in your sig, or the Mi16 box it will have the hole ready for the Sensor.

when this hole would be longer, you could change ignition timing just by repositioning the vr-sensor. ;-)
