Cd Changer Cable Compatability

Right then, a quickish one as i'm not too sure on this.

 

I have a blaupunkt HU(tape) and blaupunkt changer (not mp3)

i'm going to get a new HU but was wondering are the changer cable's different between manufacturers?

 

i.e will my cable from the blaupunkt changer fit to a new alpine HU? or do i have to keep it the same so blaupunkt up top and in the boot? for the cable to fit correctly?

 

also can you get adaptors if they are not universal?

Definitive not... blaupunkt and alpine have diferent comand by cable also old and new blaupunkt not...

so when i get a new HU my changer is going to be scrap pretty much.
