Recommended Posts

Lan

today like most weeks i ran the engine in my car,

but once i started the engine the rev counter just flickered around abit not really giving a idea of what revs the engine was doing and then just stopped working it has done this before but magically fixed itself does anyone know what it could be or where it takes its reading from?

The rev counter takes it's reading from the multiplug on the coil. Mine did this but i replaced the rev counter for a racetech one and all was cured :)

When mine failed i never found any problem with the plug or wiring itself (i still had a feed going to the tacho) it was the actual rev counter.
