Oil Filter

Got a bit of a dilema, again. fitted a 1360 silver top bottom end into my pug, the paper oil filter in these models comes out and up and i cannot keep this filter on because of my 4 branch manifold. i removed the whole thing and fitted a new 205 xs filter which fitted fine and looked to seal but still i am getting leak .has anyone had problems like this or know a way of making the filter seal?
