Mi16 Valves...where Can You Buy Them?

Recommended Posts

Chris H

I need to buy a set of valves for my Mi16 after the cambelt snapped. 12 valves are bent so i'm going to fit a full set of new valves. Anyone got suggestions on where to buy them and how much?

Done a search on the net but can't find anything other than Hi-flow heads

Cheers

Chris

I got mine from ECP a few years ago. Were £8 each + dreaded IIRC.

ECP only list inlet valves for the DFW XU9J4Z engine i.e. the low comp version

Are the valves the same as "normal" XU9J4 engines. £6.40 each is a good price

I've got prices for inlets @ £12.23 and exhaust @ 8.62 from my local motor factors but not sure on avalibility

XU9J4, XU9J4Z and XU10J4 all have identical valves. Those prices are excellent. An OEM exhaust valve cost me AUS$88 recently.

Ouch! If you buy from Peugeot here you'd better be prepared to sell body parts. They wanted £40-odd for an inlet and £60-odd for an exhaust!

I think QEP wasn't far off those prices, maybe they're worth a try? ;)

I've got them down to £9.05 inlet and £6.38 using the trade discount from work....don't think i can do better than that!
