large 33 Posted June 27, 2009 Could someone please point me in the right direction? When my battery light comes on (there is no charging fault I think it is down to the brown multi plug) my indicators stop working. It my well is an earth fault but whenever I clean the brown plug the problem goes away. I have also noticed that when this fault occurs I don’t get any of the normal dash warning lights when starting the car also the glove box light does not work as well. Spiky 37 Posted June 29, 2009 sounds like a buggered brown plug in the bay or under the steering column if its the one in the bay, i'd cut out the brown plugs and solder together, OR if it wa my car, i would make a new loom from the brown plugs under the steerin coloum, wont take lomg
large 33 Posted July 1, 2009 Got round to having a look today. After about 10 min I found the problem, it was the larger of the 2 plugs coming from the ignition (the white one I think). There was a small amount of movment in the plug when I did this with the ign on the warning lights would go off then on. I think the battery light is still down to the brown multi plug but thats what WD40 is for. Thanks for all the help.
