Changing From Banjo To Push On Fuel Filter

Recommended Posts

Ethos

Update, tried a couple bits tonight and started the engine up... fuel pi**ing out. Great.

So I take the fuel line off the main connection and tighten it up a bit more (until the point I can't actually tighten it anymore). Job done....

But no.

Still pi**ing out.

<_<

Awesome, not really sure what to try next as apparently just putting the fuel line over the metal pipe and securing with fuel clips isn't recommend.

F**king hate cars.

isn't it possible that you cracked the old and rusty pipe?

Possibly, I'm fairly sure it was coming from the connection- but to be fair it was coming out pretty fast so I didn't want to leave it running for long.

I'm failing to see the different between using the gay connecter and just bunging the fuel line over the metal pipe.

Surely it's just another point of failure? Also the fuel pipe is held onto the connector with 2 fuel clips... so it's that's enough to keep it on- why wouldn't it be straight on the pipe?

Little update.

I got 2 boat grade (lol) jubilee clips and have slipped the pipe over the pipe on it's own. It's not leaking and I took it up and down the road a little bit- seems ok for now (at least it lets me troubleshoot the jerking issue).

Steve mentioned cleaning the gauze in the fuel pump, how would I go about this?

Also is it worth me measuring the voltage at the fuel pump... again a little guide/help would be appreciated.

Thanks
