I would have thought so, although I'd rather clean it out with water (cover the outside in washing up liquid then run a tap into it to push the cr@p out rather than further in) then once dry re-oil it.

If you got access to an airline you can clean your filter out pretty good without needing any of this cleaning kit crap. Cheap and easy wil take you 5 minutes once the filter is removed.

I'll give both methods a try then, got a few cars with aftermarket filters.

It'll be fine, or just use air/tap/etc as above. I wouldn't re-oil a Green filter with K+N oil though, as it's red and will probably make it look wierd!
