d-9 0 Posted June 8, 2009 Ive got a few bits to paint on my 309 as its getting a bit tatty, decided its about time I learnt to spray metallic, so im going to give it a go First stupid question...can I laquer over cellulose? Or is that a stupid thing to do? The guy in the paint shop said I should just spray it then polish it, but im a bit worried about the durability of that! Spraying 2-pack isnt really an option as I dont have a spray booth or an airfed mask
M@tt 77 Posted June 8, 2009 You can get disposable masks suitable for filtering out organic compounds ie 2pak, its what i've got for when i spray my CTI http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=160338635283
gti-si 0 Posted June 8, 2009 (edited) I'm pretty sure that's no good for 2pak Matt? I was warned not to bother with the 2pak at all unless I had an airfed mask. I was told these things are only really suitable for celly etc Edited June 8, 2009 by gti-si
Rob Turbo 3 Posted June 9, 2009 I use something similar to the mask matt posted a link to and I've done quite a bit of spraying over the years, the only problem I have with it is I end up with a sore throat where the mask rubs when I pull it down! The colour will fade quicker with cellulose than it will with 2k as well.
