Bonnet Vent

Recommended Posts

engine killer

Dear all,

I am wondering is there any possibility I can get the original Integrale bonnet vent (the front one). I have measured both front and rear vents, only the front is narrow enough to fit inside the bulge of the auto bonnet. I have tried searching both ebay uk and italy but no hope at all.

Thanks for any advice.

ecosse do a bonnet that has the 2 delta vents in it,

they should be able to supply the vent on its own i would imagine.

As weejimmy said maybe they could just supply you with the vent, you cut a hole in your bonnet yourself? Least you would know it fits.

measured it myself, it will give a tiny margin (about1.5-2cm) on both side.

the Integrale one gives a more square boxy look whick match with the 205 style perfectly from my point of view, thie is why i have been searching it for quite sometime (tried most scrapyards in Hong Kong).

cut the hole in the bonnet isn't too difficult because i put the aerocatch on myself :)

Closest I could find...

http://www.carstyleplus.co.uk/Bonnet_vents/bonnet_vents.html

Although have you seen that one already? and is it actually functional as a vent more to the point!

Wow, it is very.......PRICEY. Seen this ad before but I do not think it is functional as it says it's a bond on one. Although I can cut the bonnet to fit it but it will make the bonnet very weak.

The picture I posted was actually taken from ebay so I mailed to the exhaust seller, he can sell me one for about 50quid. E-mailed a few Integrale specialist regarding the vent, one said he can provide me one but have to identify either 16v or EVO. Unfortunately I have totally forgotten did I measure the 16v or EVO. :D So, I am only waiting for his reply about the dimension.

the ecosse bonnet is an RGM vent skinned on top of an OE bonnet. you used to be able to buy the vents on their own direct from RGM, but they're nothing like Integrale vents :D

RGM also used to do a more OE looking integrale vent, but it wasn't functional, no idea if they still do them or not

i have that ecosse bonnet, it was the one from the famous steel grey ecosse 205 on throttle bodies, and it's just a std bonnet with the moulding on top so has no extra clearance underneath. Looked nice if you like that sort of thing

at last I have bought a vent from a British guy in ebay. it is from a Lancia Delta 16v. the bodyshop got it half way done, a water drainage pan is on the way and after that a full bonnet respray.

unfortunately we couldn't place it any higher due to the line across the bulge, making too close may ruin that line.

it will be functional and is what I have been longing for a long long time since I first saw a Lancia Delta Integrale.

what do you guys think of that vent?

I have just bought the back one. there shouldn't be enough room for the front due to the throttle bodies and fuel rail underneath.

optimistically it will be finished no later than the end of nect week. will post picture up here again.

Whats the hosepipe for in your bonnet? Looks a little large for washer tubing

Bonnet looks awesome, how much has it cost you to do?

The hose is for the rain to drain away when it comes through the vent :)

Looks smart!

without those hoses, it will flood the spark plug sockets and..... nightmare! (I had serious misfire due to wetted plugs)
