I think I already know the answer but just wanted someone else to confirm it!

 

I was driving home tonight and I had my bike in the back, seats down. There was a hiss as the car went over 4k, that got louder the higher the revs got, is that the fuel pump? I've never heard it before, I've never heard the pump before tonight!

Pump doesn't really make a hiss sound more of a constant low hum. More likely your brake servo, but not really related to engine speed?

if its getting louder with revs thats not your pump as its constantly rated afaik.

i have a very similar problem on my 205 id be very interested to hear the result. the only thing iv come up with is the exhaust but i havent had a chance to look into it yet.
