If it's not a problem can you ask if they can get them and at what price and maybe if they have 2 valves left as I only need 2

btw. i don't know the budget for your build but if you want a cheap alternative to gt42r look for Holset HX50 or HX52...

They spool better than same size garrett and are very reliable.Just you need to choose proper turbine housing size for your application.

You can get them very cheap....they are like 4 times cheaper than Gt42r and have even bigger flow...

Also for half of a price of Gt42r you can get borg warner s400sx 100-95 which has higher flow than gt4202r and will spool earlier and can take more boost due to extended tip compressor wheels.

Indeed compound charging is the way forward. Norris Design is currently making 1000hp compound charged evo. But that's just which way to take...how to get the is another story.

I would really like to see this happen, to get the idea how much power can stock components take, but You must know that even if components can physically take the power there are other problems, which some kutija already pointed out.

Cheers

i know it can be done and im not planning on running silly boost straight away, my build is all about development. i may never reach 1000hp id be happy with 400hp im not chasing figures, what im really chasing is a interesting difficult to build system working well.

thanks

more progress today, the overall manifold is done, ive got to cut a bend and remake the flange for the turbo as im not happy with the amount of meat available for the gasket to seat on.

dont worry these are just cheap mock up turbos im using i really dont want to trash the real things with grinding dust.

i used a anvil to make the 2 to 1 merge collector, going back old school produced some nice results i think!!

not really applicable to this thread but showing the next stage a gt42 (mock up) the proper one isnt coming out of the box till im finished!!

i have to fit in a waste gate flange on the turbo manifold and another wastegate for the gt42 :S

hopefully ill have some more turbo porn later on this week!!

It will be a 8v, can you design to be over the gearbox like 16v?
