Front Bumper Differences

Recommended Posts

Really quick question.

Are base model bumpers the same as GTi ones except lacking the holes for the trim clips and holes at the ends for the arch trim to go through?

Thanks

Veero

essentially yes, the length of the section with the holes is a little different too.

Trim off the flat part of the ends, drill / shape the holes and your base bumper is GTi 'd :) (I have done this a couple of times, can't tell the difference)

Right trimmed the ends to clear the arch trim and drilled all the holes. It's not a perfect fit, but looking at it you wouldn't know it's a base model. I assume it's not quite right because it's probably a slightly shoddy (but brand new for £30!) aftermarket one and the holes for the valance bolts didn't line up leading to and ever so slight twist. Still it looks a million times better than the old cracked one.
