Simes 248 2 Cars Posted April 5, 2009 Hi, My new 205 (1991) had remote cental locking fitted as standard which doesn't work. I've just bought a ToadAi606 to install and was wondering whether I will need the additional actuator that they sell. Any ideas?
tagy 1 Posted April 5, 2009 When I fitted the Ai606 to my 205 (also with remote locking) I did not need any additional actuator, just 2 wires to connect for the central locking.
Rom 0 Posted April 5, 2009 You need a workign actuator for each door you want to work. Doesnt need to be special, just aslong as you can splice the wires in.
Anthony 1,000 Posted April 5, 2009 Easy to fit a Ai606 into a Phase 2 GTi that had RCL as standard - you just connect two wires to the underdash RCL control box, and that locks/unlocks the doors fine without needing to faff around with additional solenoids or wiring
