Abs Brakes

Silly question i know, but can someone tell me if my 1992 1.9 gti 205 has ABS? How would i know?

Phoned up a parts store looking for a rear wheel bearing and he asked me if it was ABS or not. I guessed and said it wasnt. £62 i got quoted? Seemed a bit dear, anyone know anyone selling them cheaper or is that price sound about right?

I had a look on the "wheel bearing" sticky but couldn't figure out what part number was for mine

Super Josh

Look at the master cylinder under the bonnet.

your is a 1.9, so....

4 pipes out of it - NON ABS

2 pipes out of it - ABS

1.6,.

3 pipes out of it - NON ABS

2 pipes out of it - ABS

Or of course

a) Follow the brake lines from the master cylinder and see if they get routed through the ABS modulator or go straight to the wheels.

:D Go out, get to about 60mph and stamp on the middle pedal. ;) (I think (a) is safer and more reliable though)
