johny105_y2k 1 Posted April 2, 2009 I've just bought 2 new droplinks 1's longer by half an inch roughly. Now the car's been stood months and i removed the old ones and chucked them ages ago. so firstly is this correct that they are 2 different lengths and which goes where long one to the /....... side. Easy for those that know . TA very much johny
pugdamo 111 2 Cars Posted April 2, 2009 they should be the same length mate,Is it another case of "the motor factors strike again??"
johny105_y2k 1 Posted April 2, 2009 (edited) i was damn sure of this but thought i'd check. kind of makes sense as one is black and one is gold Edited April 2, 2009 by johny105_y2k
nick 3 Posted April 2, 2009 I had this recently, bought one and it was longer than the one I took off... luckily it was the same lenght as the good one on the other side. So I had been riding round with them at different lengths for about two years!! Never noticed though... Nick
johny105_y2k 1 Posted April 2, 2009 so we are agreed they should be the same. But which shorter or longer?
wildejon 7 Posted April 2, 2009 so we are agreed they should be the same. But which shorter or longer? I had the same thing on my car, I ended up going for the longer ones, it does look right when its sitting BUT I found them more difficult to fit as I had to load up the ARB to get them in... Drives ok tho!
welshpug 1,626 Posted April 2, 2009 I always fit stuff like this in pairs so it wouldn't matter, as long as you have a matching pair...
johny105_y2k 1 Posted April 2, 2009 thats what i was thinking but 1 is obviously wrong so i wanted the right ones . i supose it'll be what they have when i take them back
wildejon 7 Posted April 2, 2009 I'm not sure if thats right..? Surely one length would make the suspension act differently to the other no?
