Nice car mate, i have a GT but the samba engined ph1, very rare probly more than the 1fm version.

Mine is light blue, it is bit rusty and needs new doors etc but i will be sorting that project out

great, i now know what todo with my spare calipers! :D

cool, yeh mine was supposed to be a temporary car for a few weeks, but ive had it since nov '07!! and like it too much to get rid lol... starting to need a bit of work now though! luckily ive got so many spares that it shouldnt be too much of a prob... just a pain in the arse really!

-wishbones gone AGAIN!! 4th time! cheap crap + speedbumps is killing them! - thinking about whacking on a GTi subframe/wishbones etc

- spare gbox to go on

- still have to replace the lock, where someone tried to get in and failed!

- need a new electic window motor

some adjustable spax dampers and springs too go on too (cheers paul)

oh yeh and the brakes

will get it done soon!

the bit that goes into the hub, becomes very loose and moves too eaily. Makes the handling a bit sketchy to say the least!

The balljoint?

I've never had problems with heap ones before. Are you sure theres not something else ausing them to fail?

im not sure, what else would cause the ball joints to fail? i get mine from a local motorfactors... and tbh the quality is awful so im going to stop using them... im asuming thats the reason!
