Safety Cut-off Switch

Recommended Posts

Paul_13

I bought this the other weekend and do not have a clue how to wire up the white block.

The bloke I bought it from said it was to stop the alternator dumping it's charge and frying the electrics.

Has any one owned the same switch in the past?

It's a resistor so takes any current and takes it to the chassis earth, you should of had a wiring diag for it, But think on one of Ed Cheery's posts there is all the info there

One pair of contacts will make when the switch is off you need to conect one of these to the switched side of the power feed ie the atlernator / starter power conection then the other contact to the resistor then earth the other resistor tail if that makes sense :)

Miles- I'll have a look

Arnold Naber- yes please mate!!

Looks like mine had been opened before and someone had nicked the wiring diagram :)

Arnold Naber,

Is there a chance you could post the wiring diagram up for this switch?

Thanks

Chris- lol along as you don't mix them you'll be fine :)

I had a little search earlier but didnt find much...

Was hoping A. Naber would be a kind fellow.

I have a couple of trims that might be useful to you. I have a door trim and a front arch trim you can have them if you want
