the thing is replacing a roof skin is a major major job. I am looking at having a carbon fibre plate made i think, and then having tabs under near to fix it flush, and then a bead of silicon around it to water tight it.

I would make some to sell but mine isn't a proper factory sunroof.

I have an aftermarket roof that I want rid of too, so have been going through same thought process.

The other issue, of course, is that the interior headlining will need replacing. I've no idea how much that would cost but the whole thing is starting to look uneconomic. I was wondering if it's possible to get a glass panel fixed permanently in place, flush with the existing roof. If such a thing is available, should be strong (ish), look better (especially against a black roof) and be less prone to leaks!?
