Fuel Injectors - Wiring Problem

Last week, a mate of mine bought his car up to me that had blown a head gasket. (H reg 1.9 205 GTi). His neighbour had taken the head off, but in the process, snapped 2 head bolts in the block - that's when I had the car to take the broken bolts out!!!!

Tried everything to remove what's left of the bolts, but they won't budge, so he bought me another engine last night to swap.

The engine change is not a problem as the engines are identical - the only problem I've got is........... as I did'nt disconnect the injectors on the original engine, which one of the 4 plugs goes to which injector???

Is there an easy way to find this out, or is it trial and error?

doesn't matter, just plug them on whichever they reach the easiest as its Batch fired not sequential
