Rear Beam Front Brackets?

Recommended Posts

HERMAN

Could some body tell me if I have got these brackets on the wrong way round. I belive that they are right side for side because of the D and G markings. But I am wondering if they need turning round so as to have the beam fully forward ??? This maybe one for Welshpug??

On my 309 they were the other way around and I think they are opposite way around on 205's which would make yours right.

There are a lot of 'I think' sorry but might be of some help!

I forgot which way round they went when i took mine apart. I put a straight edge on top of the brackets to get them at the right angle. Then i measured the distance between the bolts and checked that against the holes in the boot.

Yes I under stand that they are on the correct side but they can be turned 180 degrees and if they are the wrong way round then the beam will sit to far back on the car.

Thanks

Neil

the beam wont fit onto the car if you simply turn the bracket around.

Does this mean that I have got them right then? Because I have measured the car floor and the front mounts are the same distance apart as the holes in the floor. I know that your the man to speak to because I have seen an old thread were you had to take your beam down to sort it. I have got the G on the near side (left) and the D on the off side (right).

Cheers

Neil

yup, if the brackets are on the right side and the right way round it'll fit straight on.
